PROPOSITION OF POST-DOCTORAL CONTRACT

The objective of the work will be to cultivate the cyanobacterium Arthrospira platensis (spirulina) under different operating conditions, and to assess the impact on the accumulation of compounds.

The glycogen, storage polysaccharide in this organism, will be particularly targeted for its ability to be transformed into bioethanol.

Nevertheless, the other recoverable molecules (pigments, proteins, exopolysaccharides) will also be sought.

In addition, the GePEB team develops since many years a predictive approach, coupling a physical approach of radiative transfer to an in-depth understanding of microbial metabolism. The work should therefore lead to a better understanding of the metabolism of Arthrospira platensis.

The candidate must have a PhD and will have to justify an experience of the culture of photosynthetic organisms in photobioreactor, knowledge of some analytical tools will be appreciated.

The salary will be approximately 2900 euros gross monthly.
Applicants should sent a CV and motivation letter to Claude-Gilles Dussap (c-gilles.dussap@uca.fr) and Céline Laroche (celine.laroche@uca.fr).
